The 1st Kanata Venturer Company meet every Wednesday night from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at the Susan Finch Room, Mlacak Centre (2500 Campeau Dr). Venturers plan and do meeting activities (like hikes, museum visits, park cleanups, pizza/movie nights), camps, community service events and more adventurous camping trips. Company Scouters (adult volunteers) supervise and help with the planning of events. Youth are aged 14-17.
In the past they have achieved national awards for their trips to Alqonquin Park, the Sleeping Giant, and the West Coast Trail.
