1st Kanata Scout Group - Bike Exchange and Sale 2025

Thanks for everyone who participated in the 1st Kanata Scout Group Bike Exchange and Sale in 2024.

See you again in 2025.

Each year 1st Kanata Scout Group hosts an Annual Bike Exchange and Sale, selling hundreds of bikes, as a service to the greater Ottawa community and to raise funds to support the Scouting programs in 1st Kanata Scout Group.

Want to Buy a Bike? The floor is open from 8:30 to 11:00 am Sat 25 Apr 2025 at the Mlacak Arena (2500 Campeau Dr, Kanata).  The lineup starts early.  Cash or cheque with ID only.  Bike prices range from $10 to $300,  typically 33% of the retail store price.

Want to Sell a Bike? Bike drop-off is from 6-8 pm Fri 26 Apr 2025 or 7 to 8:30 am Sat 27 Apr 2024 at the Mlacak Arena (2500 Campeau Dr, Kanata).  $1 fee per item for putting it in the sale.  Sellers set a fixed price.  If an item sells, 1st Kanata keeps a 20% commission, sellers collect their 80% of the price (and any unsold items) between 11:30 am - Noon on Sat 26 Apr.  Unsold items not collected are treated as donations.  Clean, working bikes in good condition have the best chance of selling.  Helmets cannot be sold.

Unlike previous years, bike donations are not currently being accepted.
