Why?

1st Kanata Scout Group hosts the Annual Bike Exchange each April to provide a valuable service to the community as well as raise funds to support the Scouting Program in Kanata.  Families are welcome to shop for bikes of all sizes and colours.  If you have an unused bike, please bring it in for a possible exchange for a new one!

- Again this year we are branching out to include canoes, kayaks and outdoor gear!  In general, large items in good condition will be considered.

- $1 per item and 20% of sale price stays with 1st Kanata Scouts.

To move all the bikes, Hertz has kindly donated transportation services with a large truck.

We expect to have over 400 bikes available to be sold this year!

 

If you would like to donate a bike or item, please email Peter at GC@1stkanatascouts.org to arrange for pick-up.

April 26th 7-9:00pm drop-off only, at the rear-corner door.

April 27th 8-9am drop-off at the rear-corner door.

April 27th 8:30-11am the Sale begins!!!  Arrive early at the front door as there is usually a line-up!

April 27th 11:30-noon Sellers pick up unsold bikes/items and/or 80% of seller's price of item sold.

- Sellers are charged a $1 fee per item handling fee, and if the item sells, 80% of the seller's price is returned to the seller.

- Buyers arrive on Saturday morning to roam the rink and select from a large assortment of used bikes/items at bargain prices.  Payment by Cash or Cheque (with ID) only.
