The adventure of a lifetime starts in 1st Kanata !
We serve the youth (5-17 year olds) within the communities of Beaverbrook, Kanata Lakes, Village Green, Heritage Hills and Kanata Estates.
Our Mission:  To contribute to the education of young people, through a value system based on the Scout Promise and Law, to help build a better world where people are self-fulfilled as individuals and play a constructive role in society.  More info at: http://www.scouts.ca/

  • Troop has fun and wins Junior Sled Award The Troop had a great day competing in the Klondike Derby.  Our Yellowknife team won the Junior Sled Award - well done!

  • 1stKVC climbs Wright Peak  The Company ascended Wright Peak and was met with 70 km winds on the summit making the windchill somewhere around -20C.  We were well prepared for the adventure!  We made the hike with two other local Venturer companies.

  • WhiteTail Sleepover @Canadian Museum of History  Beavers from all over Ottawa experience an indoor camp full of activities.  Parents are welcome to attend this annual 1st Kanata tradition.
